Tasno was born on Kashyyyk, of well-to-do parents, who frequently visited Corellia on business. They refuse to discuss why they left him with a human family in Kor Vella when he was a cub. From that day to this they have returned to Corellia only once. They now live in comfortable retirement on a small estate on Tralus. Tasno has not yet discovered their location, nor is he expending much effort in that direction.
The young Tasno excelled in engineering, and in music. His adoptive parents did not allow him to play with the other children in his neighborhood, for fear he would hurt them. Consequently, he had few friends. Tasno can be shy in social situations even to this day.
